SRP offers up to $400 in rebates for qualified duct testing and repairs. Damaged duct systems lead to inconsistent temperatures, leaving you with hot/cold spots throughout your home and can cost you $200 or more a year in utility bills. For insulation to be effective, it must be installed properly in the right locations and be free of gaps, voids and compressions. When combined with sealed air leaks, properly installed insulation provides for more even temperatures throughout the house—resulting in a quieter, more comfortable home. It can also help you save about 10% on cooling and heating costs.

Eligibility requirements: This insulation rebate applies only to attics and is based on the improvement of the insulation’s R-value.

• Existing insulation with an effective R-value less than R-19 that is improved to R-38 can qualify for a rebate.
• Be a current SRP residential electric customer (new construction does not qualify) who resides in a single-family detached home, single-family attached home or apartment/condo. Mobile homes are not eligible.
• Insulation greater than R-19 but performing under this value may qualify for a rebate to improve insulation up to R-38. Evidence of underperformance (e.g., photos and thermal images) and an explanation must accompany the rebate form.
• Insulation improvements must be made in combination with air sealing unless documentation proves air sealing is unnecessary. All materials and installation processes must meet BPI building analyst standards.
