Air Purification & Air Filtration

Whole-house Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) equipment works with your home’s HVAC system to filter and destroy contaminants before they make their way into the air you breathe. Air filtration systems use media and/or electronic filters to capture pollutants. Air purifiers target, deactivate, and clump smaller particles together and improve an air filters effectiveness at capturing those particulates.

During your home performance checkup, Larson’s air quality specialists will evaluate IAQ and ventilation systems. In some cases, we may recommend air purifiers or air filtration systems to protect your health and enhance indoor comfort.

Carbon Monoxide Detection

Called a “silent killer,” carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that may not be detected until someone in your home is sick. Newer, more airtight homes are at higher risk for CO buildup because the building tightness can trap gases and pollutants inside. Larson provides carbon monoxide testing and detectors that can help reduce your family’s risk of CO exposure.

Heat Recovery Ventilators

Airtight, energy-efficient homes keep contaminants from escaping and can lack the ventilation required for healthy air quality. Larson’s air quality professionals install and service heat recovery ventilators (HRVs) that improve indoor ventilation and air quality. HRV systems are ideal for Arizona’s desert climate when efficient ventilation is needed. Existing indoor air is pushed through the HRV to the outside while fresh outdoor air is pulled through the HRV to the inside. This process allows for the warm outside air to be tempered by the cooler indoor air which results in an indifferent fresh air temperature. Fresh, yet filtered, outside air provides for superior indoor air quality.
